  1. Fancy some snow?
    Or maybe some ice?
    Well,a holiday in Huyton
    Would be quite nice

    We're freezing
    your're frying
    I wouldn't be lying
If I said let's swop places
    It'd be worth the price

    We're all in our houses
    Schools shut,transport still
    So scared of slipping
    Down roads or downhill

    Here's hoping you're all happy
    Enjoying the sun
    Let's hear your news,
    But especially the fun
We could do with some cheer
    In this freezing new year

    So...hello to new friends
we may meet via the screen
    Are you all as warm
    As you've ever been?
    Can't wait for your post
Hope it brings us all close
    Tho' in lands from apart
You are all in my heart.

(William Wordsworth ...eat your heart out!!!)
With love and prayers for everyone

    Take care

  2. It was good to read the account of your activities so far. Seeing the red lamp burning before the tabernacle this morning really linked us with you.

I am really sorry that you are missing the snow We too are having an experience of a lifetime - coping with the snow. I do think it is thawing. now.

I am glad to hear that 'Gabriel's Oboe' has become your signature tune. I play the Celtic Blessing for each of you every day.

Claire Ball is still in London, her flight was cancelled because of the snow. She hopes to leave tomorrow, so keep her in your prayers.

I have to say that I do feel quite proud of you all.

    With my love and prayer
    Elizabeth
